References: Don’t Let These Leads Go Un-tapped!

A collector always has a list of references in their back pocket. If you can’t contact the primary or joint borrower, time to start calling the list of people they provided to you at the time of their application. This can be an effective way to reach out to your customer in an effort to collect on their account. If, however, this is the only way you are utilizing your reference list, you are potentially missing out on a wealth of leads.

 

One dealer eloquently put it as ‘birds of a feather flock together’, which I can’t disagree with. Your BHPH customers and references often come from the same socioeconomic and geographic backgrounds, making the references just as appealing of a customer as the person who used them.
